Belhaven Speyside Oak Aged Blonde Ale

A beer with whiskey notes and vanilla all over the place, from your nose to your throat. A really interesting and surprisingly good beer which I liked, although I am not a fan of sweet beers. The sweetness comes from the rich maltyness and from the vanilla oak the beer was aged un. The region of Speyside is world famous for their malt whiskeys. You should not drink it directly from the fridge, as the temperature of the beer rises the more and more whiskey aroma will be released. One thing in the downside is that the head is very quickly diminishing and nothing is left behind after just a few minutes.
