Leffe Brune - Bruin

An other gift beer from my loving wife, this Belgian dark/brown abbey ale is very enjoyable in this Christmas festive season. Pours a dark, deep brown color, with a moderate off-white head which has a good lacing. Aroma is malty, with notes of sugar, chocolate, some very light spiciness. Flavor continues in the same (something like roasted...?) malty note, some fruits and caramel, with the sweetness turning into a dry, mostly sweet end, with a very minimal bitterness. While it's a quite popular beer around us, this was still my first Leffe beer, ever. Now I've got curious how good the Blonde Leffe is, so I will be back soon with an other product of one of the most well known Belgian breweries.
